Abstract :
The present research was conducted with the aim of exposition of the relationship between team leadership and empowerment through organizational learning among teachers of high schools in Saveh city of Iran in year (2013-2014). The research was applied, descriptive and correlational. Statistical population included 230 teachers of which 144 teachers were selected, based on Krejcie and Morgan sample size. Sampling method was stratified sampling method. For collecting data, three questionnaires of team leadership containing 21 items, organizational learning questionnaire containing 21 items and psychological empowerment questionnaire containing 20 items in 5-point Likert scale, were used. The content-related validity of all the three questionnaires was approved by experts, and their reliabilities were 0.95, 0.93 and 0.92 respectively Cronbachʹs alpha. Data analysis was accomplished in two parts of descriptive and inferential Spearman such as Kolmogorov–Smirnov test, one-sample t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, regression and path analysis. Results revealed that there was a significant relationship between team leadership, organizational learning and empowerment of the teachers. Also, team leadership influenced the empowerment indirectly through organizational learning, the degree of team leadership; organizational learning and psychological empowerment of teachers were above the average .Based on the above results considering to the leadership team and organizational learning can play an important role in promoting the empowerment among teachers of high schools in Saveh city. These two factors should be considered in planning for the empowerment of teachers .
