Abstract :
A method for the simulation of the energy loss distribution in thin gaseous layers has been implemented in GEANT and tested. Comparisons are made between the new code and the standard method in GEANT. Improvements are made to the standard method to enable a fast and reliable simulation of energy losses in thin layers.
