Abstract :
HERA-B and LHC-B are experiments dedicated to the study of CP violation in the neutral B meson system at the HERA proton storage ring and at the LHC collider, respectively. Crucial for each experiment is a forward microvertex detector of novel design whose characteristics are discussed in this paper.
