Abstract :
The upgrade of the Dط detector for Run II of the Fermilab collider includes a silicon tracker, a new scintillating-fiber-based central tracking system, a 2 T superconducting solenoid, and scintillator-based preshower detectors. The design and predicted performance of the silicon tracker are described.
