Abstract :
This paper describes a 352 element detector, designed for the focal plane of the 855 MeV electron spectrometer at the Institut für Kernphysik in Mainz. The system tags bremsstrahlung photons in the energy range 40–800 MeV with a resolution of ∼2 MeV and an overall flux of ∼108 s−1.
