Certified reference gas of 85Kr in a Marinelli beaker for calibrations of gamma-ray spectrometers

The activity of 85Kr gas in a glass ampoule was measured by means of a solid certified reference source (CRS) of 85Sr and a HPGe gamma-spectrometer. A Marinelli beaker of 101 was filled with 85Kr gas and closed. The activity of the reference gas was checked in Marinelli-geometry also by means of a HPGe spectrometer which has been calibrated applying a mixed CRS and using the Measurements, Interpolations and Adding Up (MIAU) method. The deviation was less than 2% between the two methods.
