Abstract :
For dynamic neutron radiography of a gas—water two-phase flow, two digital processing functions have been implemented in the Musashi dynamic image processing system. One was a logarithmic transformation to obtain the average thickness of the water layer and the other was the real-time calculation of the void fraction of the two-phase flow. Experiments were carried out at the neutron radiography facility of JRR-3M at Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute and the usefulness has been proved.
