Abstract :
Platelet growth has long been a desirable means of crystal growth for x-ray detectors. It has, however, proven unreliable and resistant to development of a stable process. We will report recent progress in process development based on chemical thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer, and experimentation. We will present data showing that a stable process has been obtained.
