The Honeycomb Outer Tracker System for HERA-B

The Outer Tracker System of HERA-B consists of large planar drift chambers made out of honeycomb drift tubes. The detector requirements and the layout are summarized. Results of prototype tests achieved with chambers of different sizes are reviewed.
