Abstract :
Data analysis and correction of differential neutron scattering cross sections were carried out in two quite different ways. One method was the comparison of a realistic Monte-Carlo simulation of the time-of-flight spectra with the measurement, iteratively adapted for the complete angular distribution. The other method was an extraction of raw data, followed by data correction with numerical methods. The comparison gives considerable differences if the angular distribution shows large relative gradients.
