Abstract
We review some of the principal themes of research in particle phenomenology pursued in the CERN Theory Division, particularly but not exclusively during the last quarter-century. Within the Standard Model, we mention some of the more influential papers in studies of the strong interactions, QCD and the electroweak interactions. We then focus on possible physics beyond the Standard Model, including the origin of particle masses, supersymmetry, grand unification, neutrino physics and string model-building, and discuss accelerator tests of these ideas.
