Abstract :
A new advanced scheme of a HIF driver based on the idea of charge-symmetric beams is considered. This driver with an energy of 3.2 MJ and a power of about 1000 TW has 8 final transport lines. The beam spot diameter is about 2.2 mm in each of them. This scheme may suit the European Test Facility (HIDIF).
