Abstract :
Cavitation intensity vs. temperature of aqueous solutions of three substances most frequently used in ultrasonic cleaning: sodium carbonate, metasilicate and phosphate were measured. Shapes of cavitation – temperature curves for 0–10% solutions during heating and cooling in the 20–70 °C temperature range were compared. Maximal cavitation intensity curves for these solutions at 60 °C (most frequently used temperature of ultrasonic cleaning in aqueous solutions), in identical conditions and at various ultrasound frequencies are presented as diagrams.
