Abstract :
This paper presents a simplified convolution method for use in fitting the pulse-height spectra obtained by illuminating PbWO4 crystals with standard laboratory γ-ray sources in order to determine the light yield of the crystals used in the construction of a high-energy physics experiment. This technique improves the speed of fitting the data with little diminution on the precision of the final result.
