Abstract :
A nuclear resonant scattering beamline, BL09XU at SPring-8 has been constructed for the development of new experimental methods using nuclear resonant scattering and the study of materials science using nuclear coherent scattering and nuclear inelastic scattering. An in-vacuum linear undulator installed in the storage ring can produce intense X-rays up to 80 keV. More than 30 kinds of nuclear levels exist in this energy range. The general layout, the properties and the present status of the beamline are reported.
