Abstract :
We present the results of a Monte Carlo study for the influence of the geometrical experiment characteristics on the extracted values of Σ-asymmetry for the reaction d(γ→,n)p, induced by low energy linearly polarized photons. The Monte Carlo calculations take into account the effects of the reaction kinematics, secondary scattering of the neutrons in the target material and all relevant geometrical parameters of the beam, target and detection system.
