Abstract :
We present an algorithm that enables one to calculate the degree of both the circular and linear polarization of the bremsstrahlung produced by polarized electrons, taking into account beam divergence, off-axis deviation, and elliptical beam spot shape, as well as finite angular acceptances for photons and post-bremsstrahlung electrons. We present conditions for which the contribution of the linearly polarized component is minimal.
