Abstract :
A data acquisition system has been developed specifically for a high-energy X-ray area detector called YAP imager. The position encoders are the central modules in the data acquisition system, which are high-speed logic processing modules, highly versatile, with a programmable logic device (PLD) embedded. In the present work, the throughput rate of the data acquisition system has been examined as a function of the trigger rate up to 5 Mcps.
