Abstract :
We have studied a proximity focusing ring imaging Cherenkov counter with aerogel radiator, as a possible upgrade option of particle identification system in future e+e−B factory experiments. In this paper, we introduce the concept of the detector, report results of the first beam test and discuss future prospects.
