Universal method for equations of state (UNIFEST): An application of UNIFAC to predict the parameters of cubic equations of state

A method is proposed to predict the parameters of cubic equations of state by a single application of UNIFAC. It avoids applying time-consuming group contribution methods for vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) calculations, extends the application of UNIFAC to systems under high pressures and/or containing gaseous components and makes the calculation of phase properties easier and faster.
