Abstract :
Flow calorimetric measurements of the excess molar enthalpy HmE of {xCO2+(1−x)CS2} made in the liquid region are described. The measurements were made at the pressure p=5.0 MPa and the temperatures T=250.15 and 270.15 K, and at the pressure p=7.5 MPa and the temperatures T=250.15, 290.15, 295.15, and 300.15 K. The measurements at p=5.0 MPa and 250.15 K suggest that there is a region of partial miscibility between x=0.17 and x=0.8. The measurements at 270.15 K suggest that at this temperature there is total miscibility. The results are compared with the Patel–Teja equation of state.
