Abstract :
A static total pressure apparatus was built. Isothermal vapour–liquid equilibrium of five binary systems cis-2-butene + methanol, + ethanol, + 2-propanol, + 2-butanol and + 2-methyl-2-propanol systems at 337 K was measured. All systems exhibited positive deviation from Raoult’s law and cis-2-butene + methanol, cis-2-butene + ethanol showed azeotropic behaviour.
