Evaluation of factors affecting on managerial wisdom: A philosophical attitude

In this paper we take a wisdom-based approach to the management and organization, it is a multi-faceted approach. The purpose of this study is to measure variables affecting organizational and managerial wisdom. For this reason, the philosophical dimensions of wisdom i.e. logic, ethics, aesthetics, epistemology and metaphysics, were considered. The population of the research was 7491 employees in government agencies of Hamedan province, that 381 employees were selected as samples. To collect data from the field, 100- item questionnaire was used. For design the final questionnaire was used of the Delphi technique in three rounds. Delphi panel of 21 faculty members formed. After consensus on questionnaire, validity through confirmatory factor analysis and reliability was confirmed by Cronbachʹs alpha. According to conceptual model 5 hypotheses were developed to examine the relationship between these variables with managerial wisdom. In order to test the hypothesis in the end, LISREL software and Path Analysis Model (PAM) is used. The analysis results using LISREL software indicated that four variables: logic, ethics, epistemology and metaphysics had a significant and positive effect on managerial and organizational wisdom. But the aesthetics there was no significant effect on the managerial and organizational wisdom.
