Abstract :
Today, IT is considered as an important affecting factor on the efficiency of SMEs. In the meantime, total quality management is a comprehensive approach in improving the competition, effectiveness and flexibility through planning, organizing and understanding the activities that involve all people in any level. All companies try to be the best ones and they utilize strategies and technologies in achieving their quality aims. As a result, the aim of present paper is to study the impact of using IT on TQM at SMEs in the city of Kerman. Research population consists of 171 managers at SMEs in the city of Kerman. Concerning population limitation, 171 standard questionnaires were distributed among the managers of these companies while the reliability of the questionnaire was measured by Chronbach’s alpha ratio. Library and field studies were used to collect needed information. In terms of aim, this is an applied study while it is a descriptive and correlation survey in terms of gathering needed data. The findings indicate that using information technology impacts on total quality management significantly.
