  • Abstract
Four graduate and two undergraduate courses related to Materials Engineering for Electronics (MEE) illustrate our departmental activity in this field. Their content is briefly outlined. Graduate courses: (1) methods and bases of MEE, (2) application of MEE, (3) R&D of new materials and (4) new materials and their applications. Undergraduate courses are represented here with: (1) physical chemistry, where students are tested by educational programs on PC: ‘FELEDIT’ and ‘FELTEST’. These programs make test making/grading faster and easier. A standardized question type, multiple choice, has been used. These tests also include thermodynamics for electro-engineering disciplines. Their versatility allows wider application. (2) Materials engineernig of electronics and optoelectronics. There are also significant activities by our University colleagues, particularly in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, on the studentsʹ responses related to these courses.
