Materials science education: from school to university

Remarkable developments are taking place in the priority given to materials in school and university education. In UK schools, materials and their properties forms one of the four subject areas of the National Curriculum for science. Support and resources for teachers are becoming increasingly available. Extensive developments are taking place in Higher Education, at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels, which make materials an increasingly attractive option at university.
