Abstract :
The use of the copper—lead rheocast alloy as a joining material is very attractive in the design of the plasma-facing components of a thermonuclear fusion reactor. Presently, experimental data on its main physical properties are not yet available and therefore they have been estimated theoretically. The evaluation of the following properties is performed at different alloy compositions: thermal conductivity, density, specific heat, elastic modulus, Poissonʹs ratio, coefficient of thermal expansion. Their use is suggested for preliminary calculations until the experimental data are obtained.
