Abstract :
An influence of overloading and unloading on a fatigue crack growth at variable loading with the asymmetry of R = 0.9 was studied on CrMoV and CrNiMoV steels with bainitic structure. Unlike overstressing of different levels resulting in a fatigue crack growth retardation, the influence of unloading after overstressing was mostly unfavourable, depending on the loading sequence in the block.
