Abstract
Interstitial-free steel was deformed by warm multilayered rolling without lubrication to obtain shear deformation textures in its surface. The main component of the shear texture was {110}〈001〉, the so-called Goss texture. The surface layer with the shear texture was annealed at 750°C for 1 h. The Goss texture in the deformed steel sheet remained unchanged after recrystallization. The phenomenon was discussed based on the energy release maximization theory for recrystallization texture, in which the absolute maximum normal stress direction in the deformed state becomes parallel to the minimum elastic modulus direction of the recrystallized grains.
