Abstract
Research works concerning making an alloying addition of scandium to aluminium alloys are carried out for nearly 30 years in Russia. As a result of these studies, main regularities characterising the effect of scandium on a structure and properties of aluminium alloys have been found and, based on this, principles of making an alloying addition of scandium to aluminium alloys and foundations of a technology for production of wrought semiproducts have been formulated.
