Abstract :
During ageing, γ′-precipitate free zones form along the grain boundaries in the γ′-strengthened nickel-based superalloy NIMONIC PE16. The effects of these zones on the yield strength, the ultimate tensile strength, and the strain to fracture have been experimentally investigated.
