  • Abstract
The electrochemical characteristics of chemically dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid-doped polyaniline film (PAn-DBSA) were investigated in various organic electrolyte solutions containing LiClO4 by cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance spectroscopy. The PAn-DBSA film electrode showed electrochemical reversibility in the order of a mixture of propylene carbonate (PC)/1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME, by 50 % vol), a mixture of PC/ethylene carbonate (EC, by 50 % mol.), and PC containing 1 M LiClO4. The viscosity and dielectric constant of the solvents were responsible for the different electrochemical reversibility. The electrochemical redox process was proved to change the microstructure of PAn-DBSA film from partially crystalline to amorphous states.
