Abstract :
The application of spectroelectrochemical techniques to the investigations of the memory effects in polyaniline is discussed. Changes in the spectra of polyaniline were observed not only during the oxidation-reduction cycle but also afterwards when the polymer remained in the reduced state. Polyaniline films were examined at various potentials and several anions were used as doping agents. Increasing waiting (ralaxation) time leads to significant changes in spectra (especially in the wavelength range 370 ÷ 460 nm).
