Abstract :
Measurements of the de Haas - van Alphen (dHvA) effect, the complex susceptibility and the specific heat, C, of κ-(ET)2I3 are reported. The strong harmonic content of the dHvA signal and the upper critical field, Bc2, following the angular dependence of thin films as described by the Tinkham formula reveal the almost perfect two-dimensionality of this compound. The specific heat shows a jump at Tc consistent with BCS. Some deviations in the temperature dependence of C might be explained by strong coupling.
