Metal-insulator transition in organic conductor DCNQI-Cu salt

The first order metal-insulator transition of the mixed-valent conductor DCNQI-Cu salt has been studied theoretically by applying the slave boson method to the periodic Anderson model with the electron-phonon interaction. It is shown that both the lattice distortion and the local spin with three-fold periodicity appear simultaneously at the transition.
