Abstract :
The low-frequency broadband conduction noise accompanied by the sliding motion of the spin-density wave (SDW) was investigated in (TMTSF)2PF6. Just above the threshold electric field, the noise power takes a maximum, and decreases suddenly with further increasing field, as was observed in clean CDW systems. From the noise data, we estimated the dynamical coherence volume of the SDW, and found that it is of the order of 10−11 cm3, which is of the same order of magnitude as clean CDW systems.
