Abstract :
A black and flexible film of poly(N-vinylcarbazole)-polypyrrole (PVK-PPY) composite with conductivity of 10 S/cm at room temperature was synthesized by laser-electrochemical polymerization. The conductivity of PVK-PPY composites synthesized by laser-electrochemical polymerization was enhanced by one order magnitude compared with electrochemical polymerization due to photoelectrochemical or photochemical reaction and a thermal effect introduced by laser irradiation during electrochemical polymerization. Effects of the ratio of PVK to pyrrole monomer, laser energy density and wavelength on the structure and conductivity of the resulting composites are discussed.
