Abstract :
The synthesis of novel soluble π-extended [1,4] dioxines as suitable precursors for electroactive charge transfer complexes is reported. The electron donor character of the prepared [1,4] dioxines 9 has been studied by cyclic voltammetry and shows two oxidation waves corresponding to radical cations and dications.
