Abstract
Tetrathiafulvalene-7,7,8,8-tetracyano-p-quinodimethane (TTF-TCNQ) thin films were prepared on common glass by chemical vapour deposition (CVD) at low pressure and using tetrathiafulvalene and tetracyanoquinodimethane as precursors. The layers exhibit a preferential orientation in the crystallization along the [001] direction and have a room-temperature conductivity of 6–24 Ω−1 cm−1. The evaluation of the stoichiometry was performed by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Crystallite orientation was determined by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The morphology and structure of the layers were also studied.
