Abstract
Electrical transport properties of a stage-1 FeCl3-graphite intercalation compound were measured in two directions, namely, along the caxis and in the normal direction. The standard four-probe method was used for the measurements. The resistivity was measured in the temperature range from 296 down to 12 K. The transverse magnetoresistance was measured in a low magnetic field up to 5 kG at temperatures 296, 77 and 12 K. The average mobility was calculated assuming a simple two-band model. The Hall voltage was measured as a function of magnetic field at 296, 77 and 12 K and it was found to be positive. The carrier concentration was calculated from the Hall voltage assuming a one-carrier model.
