Abstract
Polyaniline was used as a conductive matrix for depositing electrocatalyst (platinum) for the reduction of oxygen. Polyaniline was found to be a good conducting support for the platinum microparticles and by depositing platinum on the polymer, the active surface area of the electrocatalyst was increased. However the rotating disk experiment also showed that there might be some limitation on the diffusion of oxygen through the polyaniline film.
