Abstract
Monolayer films of an amphiphilic one-electron bis-pyrrolotetrathiafulvalene (BP) donor do not complex with organic acceptors; a hydrophobic BP donor forms no monolayer films by itself, but forms Langmuir-Blodgett films when complexed with TCNQ, TCNQF4, and DDQ; one of them is an anisotropic semiconductor (conductivity about 10−4 S/cm in the film plane).
