Abstract
Molecular orientations in oligothiophene (Tn) - and oligo- (p-phenylenevinylene) (Pn) — nanoaggregates are investigated by time-resolved fluorescence anisotropies and polarized light scattering. Tn- and unsubstituted Pn-molecules align parallel to each other, but not the substituted Pnʹs. Electronic absorption and fluorescence spectra of the oriented systems are strongly altered against the monomers and the fluorescence quantum yields are strongly reduced.
