Abstract :
Using in situ FTIR-ATR spectroscopy, the electrochemical polymerization process of 2,2′- thienylpyrrole monomer in 0.5 mol cm“3 LiClO4/acetonitrile (AN) is investigated. According to the structure changes of the polymerization process recorded by infrared spectra, the polymerization mechanisms of the polymer are discussed in this paper. The monomer and electrolyte absorption on the electrode/electrolyte interface, chemical and electrochemical polymerization of the monomer are clearly divided at definite potential
