Abstract
The interfacial interaction of (nickel and gold) on poly (p-phenylene-vinylene) (PPV) is shown to influence their I-V characteristics when used in the production of diodes. They can be explained in terms of the increase/decrease of the oxygen content within the polymer film and the formation/absence of a metal-carbon interaction that affects the charge injection into the polymer.
