  • Abstract
Neutral soliton dynamics in trans-polyacetylene has been a controversial topic for the decade. Rapid diffusion up to D¦ ≈ 1013 (rad/sec) resulting from spin dynamics study with T1−1 of NMR has been contradicted by several ESR studies with pulse techniques. On the other hand, basic feature of the neutral soliton dynamics was confirmed by DNP, but an analysis of such data yielded further discrepancy in temperature dependence of the diffusion rate. Experimental work supporting the NMR result was reported using ESR relaxation and linewidth as a function of frequency. In this report, it is proposed that the diffuse/trap model could give a consistent interpretation for them.
