Is NIR-FT Raman a quantitative tool for polydiacetylenes studies ?

A viability of studies of thermally- and photo-induced polymerizations of diacetylenes (DAʹs) as well as of thermochromicity of polydiacetylenes (PDAʹs) by NIR-FT Raman spectroscopy is reported. High informativeness and intrinsic convenience of the method as well as usability of NIR-FTR bands parameters for quantitative work on PDAʹs are illustrated and advocated.
