Abstract
An all solid-state electrochromic device (ASSED) formed by polyaniline (PANI) and WO3 separated by a protonic conductor solid electrolyte, PAMPS, is realized. Its transmission spectrum is checked up to 104 cycles extending from −1 to +1 V. The kinetics of coloration/bleaching are studied using Optical Multichannel Analysis (OMA). The roles of WO3 and PANI in the global coloration are discriminated. The influence of the solid electrolyte composition on the coloration/bleaching kinetics, the change of optical density AOD, the coloration yield and the stability during cyclings are studied. A stable and useful device can be realized with coloration/bleaching times of ≈ 30 s for ΔOD = 0.3.
