Abstract :
The short-step synthesis of new TTF(s) [tetrathiafulvalene(s)]-fused donors, such as TTF(s)-DHTTF (dihydrotetrathiafulvalene) fused system (1), TTF(s)-DTDT [2-(1′,3′-dithiol-2′-ylidene)-1,3-dithiane] fused system (2), and TTFs-DSDTFs (diselenadithiafulvalenes) fused system (3a,b), was achieved via Me3Al-promoted reaction of organotin thiolate 4 with esters 5 and 6. Electrical conductivities of their radical cation salts were also investigated.
