Abstract :
Charge-transfer complexes of 1,6-diaminopyrene with p-chloranil (CHL), p-bromanil (BRL), and 2,5-dibromo-3,6-dichloro-p-benzoquinone (DBDCQ) have been prepared and subjected to structural and transport studies. All of the 1:1 hydrogen-bonded complexes including some polymorphic crystals are found to have an almost neutral ground state. Some complexes are found to have unusually low resistivities despite their mixed-stacked structures.
